This is so fucking hard. Part of me knows that I will get over this and eventually meet someone new and be fine, but a larger portion wants to just hole up in my apartment for five days and cry the entire time. I still feel like throwing up, I want to skip classes, I'm not sleeping enough, making stupid decisions....I'm a wreck. And it's been over 36 hours and I still cry at the drop of a hat. I'm not sure it's ever been this bad.

Soooooooo, here's the deal. Austin and I...being faithful. I'm not entirely sure what all that entails (can I dance with....kiss....make out with... other guys?). He is coming home this weekend. I "don't know this yet" because he hasn't told me. But I DO know. And am curious WHY he hasn't told me. Is he planning a surprise visit? Is he planning on not telling me and not stopping by? Is he going to tell me yet? What am I going to do?

In the mean time...a guy I spent a wonderful night with...and had a minor rendezvous with a few weeks ago....well, I saw him today. And we talked. And his actions seemed...tender. Caring. Fun-loving, such is his nature. I don't know, last I heard he didn't want to start anything with me because he's hopefully leaving soon (read: getting a real job). But today? I felt differently. That night was so amazing...we spent it dancing, being extremely goofy, walking, sitting on my floor talking about books between kisses...some wrestling. It was great. I've known him for about two years.

This is hard.

In other news, I'd much rather be at the Throw right now with Mike.....

I think that although the year officially starts over on Jan 1st, the true beginning and end of the year are different for everyone. A year ago today, many people's lives were touched, affected, and perhaps even shattered. But we've all come a long way. It's only appropriate to reflect back and see where we've been and how we've been living in their honor. A new year is upon us. The hard firsts are out of the way and we're all healing; physically and emotionally. But it doesn't mean we'll ever stop missing them.

Last night....went from bad to wonderful, in a rather interesting series. Joel couldn't make it to the show, major bummer. Went to Brothers/Pio/Brat and it was obviously "grab any girl that walks within five feet of you" night...ICK. I will NEVER step foot in the Brat again. Mark my words. And a certain someone was being a major ass. We'll get to that in a minute. So Gangl and I ended up going to the J (when Vanessa came running out after me, hahaha). Major fun, awesome decision. I saw Aaron and I smiled at him and he reached out his hand so I took it and he literally pulled me through a crowd of people talking and into a really really really long hug during which we talked. I was like "I was just thinking about you the other day!" and he says "You should! You should think about me every day!" haha. Oh that boy. Remind me again...why didn't I date him before when he was interested?? Eeps!!

Gangl said I was the only one of her friends that she'd let set her up with someone (provided she were single). Aww!

And I've realized what I want in a guy. Number one thing, RESPECT. For me, my friends, and women in general. None of those bastards from the slut bars on water. Nooooo thank you.
